The organizers of the "Smart Stuttering Society" are preparing to compete for several regional and international awards following the success of their Saudi project, which aims to control stuttering within 5 days and received the "Jeddah Social Innovation Award." The project is led by Dr. Abdullah Krieshan and aims to improve the lives of individuals who stutter through specialized and professional programs.
Krieshan points out that stuttering results from the irregularity of the self-system and often occurs in early stages of life, with its effects potentially lasting for a long time. The main challenge lies in the inability to control stuttering.
The project has been implemented over the course of two years, successfully resolving stuttering issues for over 900 individuals, with most of them experiencing a 90% improvement thanks to workshops that focus on enhancing behavior and regulating breathing patterns during speech.
After winning the Jeddah award, the team plans to participate in other local, regional, and international awards to raise awareness about stuttering and the importance of providing support to those affected worldwide.
